We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior QA / Quality Assurance Engineer or a Quality Inspector looking to move into a Quality Assurance role.

Working as the Junior QA / Quality Assurance Engineer you will support the Team of Quality Engineers in all program related activities within the company’s manufacturing plants, ensuring all products meet the defined standards.

As the Junior QA / Quality Assurance Engineer you will also support the team with manufacturing plant audits, production of required documentation, support Quality Inspectors, support requalification testing and product auditing.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Junior QA / Quality Assurance Engineer include:

  • Provide support to the Quality Engineers in all quality relevant program related activities within the manufacturing plants, ensuring all products meet the defined standards
  • Support NPI / New Product Introduction ensuring PPAP / Production Part Approval Process compilation and submission to customer to meet project timing
  • Support in quality documents i.e. inspection plans, control plans, prototype evaluation plans, maturity analysis and capability studies (process and product)
  • Support Quality Inspectors in their daily tasks
  • Support and conduct MSA / Measurement System Analysis studies and SPC / Statistical Process Control studies
  • Support requalification testing of products
  • Problem solving using quality tools (6-sigma, 8D, Ishikawa, 5-why, etc)
  • Maintain production quality documentation (Alerts, PFMEA, Control Plans, SOI’s etc)
  • Support product auditing
  • Reporting to Management with quality related data
  • Support internal Process audits to IATF16949 / VDA 6.3 & 6.4 requirements
  • Support plant audits from external organisations to IATF16949, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers when required
  • Provide support and maintenance to customers and suppliers

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Some previous experience within a Quality Assurance based role, preferably within a manufacturing / factory based environment
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office / 365 (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Engineering knowledge
  • Full driving licence required as there will be times when you need to visit other sites. A pool car is available during working hours. However, there may be times when you need to use your own vehicle and mileage will be paid
  • Statistical skills desirable
  • Passport holder desirable. In addition to the UK sites, the company has factories in Germany and Sweden and on occasion you may be required to visit them
