Mechanical Technician
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Project Partners are now on the look out for an experienced Mechanical Technician based in and around Rugby area who is now open to work and looking to secure a new long-term opportunity, joining a fun and reliable team in Warwickshire.
Job Purpose:
Execute mechanical maintenance to deliver excellence in plant reliability in the designated area of the plant whilst meeting safety, health, environmental and financial targets. Support all the company’s maintenance strategies and policies at the Plant. Ensure safe operations and maintain environmental compliance to achieve zero accidents and incidents based on UK legislation and company policies to support goal of continued license to operate and prevent injuries.
Role:
- Execute the delivery of a safe mechanical physical environment at Plant (Raw Materials, Cement Manufacture, Southam and Alternative Fuels) supporting zero harm to employees, contractors, and visitors (relevant KPIs: LTIs, FAIs).
- Creating a cultural environment so that the Mechanical Maintenance team look after themselves and other colleagues and contractors and suffer zero harm.
- Participate and generate IPT’s or VFL’s.
- Contribute as a member of the maintenance team to deliver high quality mechanical maintenance at Cement Plant using core skills and training.
- Execute the efficient execution of mechanical maintenance daily, weekly and monthly mechanical maintenance plan within the defined area of responsibility and elsewhere as necessary
- Collaborate with Planning Department to ensure suitable parts; labour and equipment are correct to deliver the mechanical maintenance plan, and feedback information through workorders and other documentation.
- Collaborate with Reliability Department to ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
- Investigate unforeseen stops of plant and report back to the mechanical supervisors and advise on course of action
- Execute preventative maintenance inspections and procedures to prevent unplanned stoppages.
- Execute the efficient mechanical maintenance for shutdown plans within the defined area of responsibility and elsewhere as necessary.
- Ensure quality of maintenance and use of spares are cost effective to deliver the reliability targets for the plant.
- Execute mechanical maintenance to the highest quality to ensure plant performance to committed standards.
- Develop strong working relationships with other Mechanical Team Members, Supervisors, the Mechanical Engineer and Electrical and Process teams to facilitate and improve the overall performance of Cement Plant
