You will be working with Hays Education, who are one of the largest recruitment agencies working within primary schools in Rugby and surrounding villages.

We are currently recruiting KS2 specialist teachers and can cover a variety of year groups on an ad hoc basis or something long-term. If you would also like to teach KS1, please don't worry if your preference is KS2 only.Long-term roles could cover anything from sickness, PPA time, course cover, management release time, paternity leave, maternity leave and interventions. This role may or may not require planning. If you do need to plan, then you will be paid to scale for this. You will have the responsibility of teaching the class. Plans will be available from their class teacher, please deliver them based on the plans given, mark all books as per policy and provide feedback where relevant.Observing behaviour and ensuring all children are following the behavioural policy and any other issues to be reported back to the Teacher - any safeguarding issues please report to the on-duty DSL. You may be supporting different schools on a day to day, ad hoc basis or, and if this is your preferred choice, you will be working at the same school on a long-term basis, either full-time or part-time.Remember working on supply is completely flexible and can work around your other commitments.What you'll need to succeed

  • To be a successful Supply Teacher, you must have a good knowledge of the primary National Curriculum where you will be covering a variety of year groups.
  • You should be able to adapt to different teaching methods and environments and be confident in doing so.
  • You must have experience teaching within the last 5 years in the teaching industry and hold a QTS, PGCE or ECT.
