A Church of England primary school located in a picturesque village in Rugby would like a qualified teacher to join their warm and welcoming team.

Their Year 3 teacher will be heading off on maternity leave. The school are in search of a year 3 teacher who can cover the class on a full-time basis starting after February half-term. They would prefer the same person and not a job share in the first instance and would prefer a teacher who can commit to staying with the class until the end of the academic year. Your new roleYou will be treated like a permanent member of staff and will have the same role and responsibilities as a permanent teacher. You will be responsible for planning and preparation for your class - your PPA time will be spent with the Year 3 Team (the planning is shared between the team), you will be asked to attend staff meetings, and because of the length of this position, you will be expected to write end of year reports.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You must have a good knowledge of the lower KS2 national curriculum.
  • You should be able to adapt to different teaching methods and environments and be confident in doing so.
  • You must have experience teaching within the last 5 years in the teaching industry and hold a QTS, PGCE or ECT.
