A large primary school in Rugby is looking for a Year 4 teacher to join their team on a part-time basis, to cover a teacher who is going on maternity leave. The role will start after February half-term for 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and will continue until July 2025.

Your new role

You will be treated like a permanent member of staff and will have the same role and responsibilities as a permanent teacher. You will be responsible for planning and preparation for your class - your PPA time will be spent with the Year 4 Team (the planning is shared between the team), you will be asked to attend staff meetings, and because of the length of this position, you will be expected to write end of year reports.

  • You must have a good knowledge of the lower KS2 national curriculum.
  • You should be able to adapt to different teaching methods and environments and be confident in doing so.
  • You must have experience teaching within the last 5 years in the teaching industry and hold a QTS, PGCE or ECT.
