We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Rugby. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering high-quality education at the Key Stage 2 (KS2) level and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and guide students during their final year of primary school, preparing them for the transition to secondary education.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the KS2 curriculum requirements.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure all learners reach their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to provide the best possible support for each student.
  • Prepare students for end-of-year assessments, including SATs, ensuring they feel confident and well-prepared.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and focused learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching at KS2, ideally in Year 6.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, including SATs preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
