We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Rugby. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering high-quality education at the Key Stage 2 (KS2) level and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the KS2 curriculum requirements.
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure all learners reach their potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to provide the best possible support for each student.
- Prepare students for end-of-year assessments, including SATs, ensuring they feel confident and well-prepared.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and focused learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching at KS2, ideally in Year 6.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, including SATs preparation.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
