Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Hours: Monday – Friday, Full-Time

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Project Partners are now on the look for a Mechanical Supervisor to come and join a thriving team in Rugby, Warwickshire. This is a full-time opportunity, and the ideal candidate will be based in and around Rugby.

Job Role:

  • Coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance resources to deliver excellence in plant reliability in the designated area of the plant whilst meeting safety, health, environmental and financial targets.
  • Enforce safe operations and maintain environmental compliance
  • Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance plan
  • Collaborate with the Planning Department to ensure suitable parts; labour and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
  • Ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
  • Coordinate deployment of labour, parts and equipment resources
  • Manage the section mechanical team concerning productivity, motivation and discipline.
  • Monitor performance of own staff and contractors and ensure jobs proceeding to plan.
  • Supervise the carrying out of preventative maintenance inspections

Experience/Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent or National Certificate (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Bachelor (degree) Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 years’ experience Mechanical Coordinator/Maintenance Team Leader or Deputy/Graduate Engineer in a cement plant
