If you’re passionate about leading change, driving quality excellence, and making a tangible impact, this is the opportunity for you.About The Role:As the Head of Quality, you will lead the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) function at a critical manufacturing site. Your mission will be to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance, exceeding both regulatory requirements and partner expectations. You'll spearhead the Food Safety and Quality agenda while empowering a talented team to achieve exceptional outcomes. In this pivotal role, you will shape the future of quality, safety, and sustainability across the site.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of site-specific Quality and Food Safety strategies, aligning them with the company’s broader goals. Partner with site leadership to promote continuous improvement
- Champion initiatives that reduce key metrics such as Consumer Complaint Ratios, Lost Time Accident Frequency, and other performance indicators in Quality, Safety, and Environment
- Manage, coach, and inspire the Quality and Safety teams, ensuring capability development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement processes, tools, and training that improve site-wide quality outcomes and empower your team.
- Lead the site’s ongoing accreditation efforts, managing third-party audits for AIB, FSSC, ISO, and customer-specific standards.
- Oversee risk assessments, HACCP implementation, and quality control processes to ensure verification activities are robust and compliant.
- Ensure environmental compliance and spearhead initiatives focused on sustainability and exceeding environmental regulations.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Senior QHSE Management role, ideally in a food-based FMCG environment at a manufacturing site.
- In-depth knowledge of QHSE Management systems, including HACCP, ISO 9001/22000, BRC, AIB, and similar standards.
- Expertise in raw material and laboratory techniques, including analytical, microbiological, and packaging methods.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, mentor, and drive success across teams.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities, utilizing techniques such as RCA, SPC, and FMEA.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Professional certifications such as Advanced HACCP, Advanced Food Hygiene, Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, IOSH, and other relevant safety qualifications.
