Role and Person Specifics:

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to fill two key experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) positions within the Sales and Operations Directorate sitting within the Business Development Team; one role is for a BDM, and the second role is for a Senior BDM.

Both roles require candidates to have a minimum of five years plus experience ideally in Appliances (White goods), or the furniture & homewares industry. The successful persons should ideally have demonstrable success across public, housing and charitable sectors, as a minimum.

The role involves identifying new business opportunities, lead generation, building and maintaining client relationships, delivering quotes and proposals and working in collaboration with different departments within the company.

Role requirements

Identify potential clients and business opportunities.

Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.

Research and analyse market trends.

Create and implement strategic business development plans.

Conduct meetings and presentations to prospective clients.

Set and monitor performance targets.

Oversee the preparation of proposals and contracts.

Negotiate terms and agreements.

Provide feedback to improve services and client satisfaction.

Monitor and report on business development activities.

Provide regular updates to senior management.

Previous experience as a Business Development Manager (Essential)

Experience within the Retail/Household Appliances industry (Desirable)

Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)

Influencing Skills (Essential)

Customer Focused (Essential)

Ambitious and Proactive (Essential)

Research and report writing (Desirable)

Analyse data to identify risk and problems (Desirable)
