Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individuals with learning disabilities in their daily activities.
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Encourage and support service users to take part in social and recreational activities.
- Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to ensure the best care is provided.
- Help individuals build skills that increase their independence and improve their confidence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in care or support work is preferred, but not essential.
- A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to learn and undertake training as required.
- A commitment to promoting the dignity and respect of all individuals.
