Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to individuals with learning disabilities in their daily activities.
  • Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Encourage and support service users to take part in social and recreational activities.
  • Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to ensure the best care is provided.
  • Help individuals build skills that increase their independence and improve their confidence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in care or support work is preferred, but not essential.
  • A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training as required.
  • A commitment to promoting the dignity and respect of all individuals.
