About the role

As our Housing Strategy and Enabling Officer you will support delivering the strategic aims of the Communities & Homes Service in respect of enabling new affordable housing, understanding the broad range of housing needs including those in our rural communities, completion and submission of key housing statistic returns to government and the research, development, monitoring and review of new housing and community strategies, policies and procedures.

About You

As well as up to date knowledge and understanding of UK local, regional and national housing, planning and regeneration policies and comprehensive knowledge of the role and regulation of registered providers and developers in the housing sector and within the district, you will also need to hold a Professional Qualification of either Chartered Institute of Housing or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent.

A full driving license and access to a vehicle is also required.
