The Procurement & Supplier Onboarding Manager will develop and execute effective procurement and sourcing activities within the UK & Europe. The primary focus will be supporting the New Business Team with onboarding new customer Accounts and looking for Sourcing opportunities to reduce Cost. The role should improve Product offering, explore new supply chains, reduce product cost and rationalise inventory.
This person will be the "Go to Person" within Group for all new product development and sourcing.
Duties:
- Day- to- day liaison with internal and external stakeholders for New Business Account onboarding.
- Management of suppliers for New Business Accounts, New Supplier evaluation and introduction.
- Building and developing relationships with all areas of the business to support Souring initiatives.
- Identify Resourcing opportunities within Europe’s current product portfolio
- Technically evaluating new products to assess suitability for introduction including Quality Control and Compliance.
- Overseeing day -to -day category maintenance of the New Business Demand Planner, to ensure suitable stock levels are maintained to meet demand, whilst managing Inventory Values as per the Senior Leadership Team’s and business’ objectives.
- Sourcing and New Business Manager would have had experience of dealing with all levels of Business contacts both internally and externally. You will have a Technical Interest to understand and support new product development, and ideally have a proven track of sourcing, procurement and cost reduction. Ability to gain an operational understanding of the Internal Manufacturing environment would be required.
- Role is 90% office based and may require travel at times.
Skills required:
- Good basic education, preference given to those with CIPS Level 4. Diploma in Procurement or Supply, but this is not essential as experience is key
- Strong systems skills- MS Office, ERP and MRP Systems. Preference given to those with MS AX Systems skills
- Track record of Cost Saving/Understanding of Supply Chain Industry
- Ability and motivation to pick up technical product knowledge
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
