LGV Training Officer
Staffordshire base
Monday - Friday
Circa £35,000 plus benefits

Job role / duties

LGV driver training for all licence categories up to C+E
DVSA Module 3A testing
Driver CPC practical demonstration training
Classroom-based Driver CPC periodic training
Associated training courses, including Category B+E (car + trailer) training and post-licence-acquisition familiarisation / refresher training.
Pre-course, pre-employment and post-accident driving assessments.
Internal training courses, including employment inductions.
RTITB training on FLT

To be considered for this role you MUST:

A Category C+E LGV licence, which must have been held for a minimum of 2 years.
Previous LGV training experience, together with an understanding of the LGV test requirements.
Experience of delivering classroom-based Driver CPC training courses.
A hands on approach, with the ability to work under your own initiative, to deliver training courses within defined time-frames.
Communication / People Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with candidates, colleagues and examiners in a friendly and professional manner, to achieve the desired results.
A flexible approach: to ensure that we are able to satisfy the total training requirements of our valued clients, flexibility of working hours is required.
Reporting skills: The ability to document course details and candidate progress on short course reports.
Local geographical knowledge of the training course/test routes would be advantageous, but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
