In this role, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with a child in reception who have autism. It is essential to have the ability to adapt your approach to cater to the diverse needs of the pupil.

Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • To implement different strategies to support the child’s social and emotional wellbeing
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement
  • To work with the class teacher and other professionals to develop learning plans

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Autism or special education needs is desired but not essential.
  • An understanding of autism spectrum disorders
  • Communication skills
  • Compassion, patience and a desire to make a difference.
