Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an experienced Electronics Test Engineer Contractor to join their team on a temporary basis. If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of electronics testing and thrive on designing and implementing testing processes for intricate PCBs, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Electronics Engineers to analyse and optimise electronic systems for peak performance, focusing on completing a reusable test system for designs across a major project.
  • Capture and document electronic test schematics and designs accurately, under the guidance of Electronics Engineers, to ensure reliable production testing methodologies.
  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings, sharing insights and collaborating effectively with engineering and project teams.
  • Maintain thorough and organised documentation, adhering to established local operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and versatility in handling diverse testing tasks within a dynamic project environment.


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, showcasing a strong educational background.
  • Experience with XJtag and LabVIEW Test Stand, highlighting proficiency in cutting-edge testing tools.
  • Previous experience in electronics design with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound knowledge of electronic testing standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for effective task management.
  • Rapid learner with a flexible engineering approach, ready to tackle diverse challenges related to electronic testing.
  • Familiarity with electronic schematic capture, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the testing process.
  • Proven experience in designing electronic test systems, showcasing expertise in complex projects.
