Are you an experienced Senior Account Manager with a passion for managing unforgettable events? This is a fast paced and exciting role providing the opportunity for occasional national and international travel working alongside a fun and experienced team. We’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable about the industry and its trends and is excited to embrace new technology.

You will be part of a team that delivers world class events, and you will be responsible for maintaining and building working relationships with our wonderful client, who has a fantastic reputation for great customer service. 

  • The Senior Account Manager will work together with the wider Client Services team to contribute to and support the strategy and growth of clients and prospects. 
  • Protecting our heritage yet introducing positive change and new ways of thinking. 
  • You will be self-motivated, passionate about detail and process and inject creativity and trends into our events. 
  • You will value your existing client relationships and demonstrate great skill in gaining their confidence and developing strong relationships with new clients.
  • Keeping your manager informed and working collaboratively will be a natural part of your role. 
  • Ambitious to progress and help be an integral part of the growth and reputation of the business. 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • To strategically oversee and support multiple concurrent event projects and their budgets while growing client relationships.
  • Responsible for supporting and managing key account deliverables against the scope of work, across a range of clients and industry sectors. 
  • Responsible for maintaining and growing existing clients and working within the Commercial Team on new business.
  • Identifying areas of collaboration with all internal departments.
  • Add value to the existing team with industry knowledge and share best practice and policy development.  
  • Being commercially aware and accountable for your own projects’ profitability while looking for the next new business, repeat business, up-selling or cross-selling opportunity.
  • Raise the profile of the event offerings. 

Skills and Experience:

  • A degree or equivalent vocational experience/qualification.
  • Involved in on-going professional development.
  • Fully literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Experience in using financial management systems and CRM systems.
  • Experience of working within a high performing events team.
  • Familiarity with pitch / proposal preparation process and competing for new business.
  • The highest levels of account handling / client relationship expertise.
  • Team leadership and strategic skills.
  • Creative and innovative approach.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Confident and positive attitude.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to understand client objectives and interpret them to develop an integrated event strategy.
