I'm partnered with a company who are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in Industrial Automation and Information Systems. This role requires someone capable of taking the lead on multiple projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and coordination.

In addition to directly owning and delivering technical solutions and project components, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with other engineers and the Solutions Manager to provide technical leadership and mentorship across various ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide and implement industrial OT, IT & IoT projects across various industrial sectors, using our partner's industrial software platforms
  • Take ownership of the technical project delivery process, understanding customer requirements and the technical activities and components required to ensure they are met
  • Support other delivery team members to ensure they understand what is required of them to maintain successful and efficient project delivery
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide feedback to the Solutions Manager for personnel development purposes
  • Feedback potential project risks, and your recommendations for their mitigation, to the Solutions Manager
  • Be the primary technical contact for projects under your leadership and ensure prompt response to inbound communications
  • Work closely with the PMO to align and drive project delivery milestones within the financial and time constraints of each project
  • Develop and communicate change requests and other project impacts to the PMO and/or the customer, helping to maintain project timescales and margins
  • Keep up to date with software components and solution architectures to maintain the business' position as a leading, software focussed, Systems Integrator
  • Work with the wider team to ensure all aspects of projects work together effectively to achieve the desired project, quality, standards and solution outcomes


Essential experience

  • Experience working within a Systems Integration environment with a broad understanding of automation systems, system visualisation, communication methods and data collection (e.g., SCADA, MES, IoT)
  • Detailed knowledge of industrial systems and the technologies, methods, standards and software required to implement them
  • Demonstrable experience of successful project delivery within an OT/IT landscape, with ownership of the full project lifecycle and compliance within relevant Quality Management System frameworks
  • Communication with a broad range of project stakeholders, its customers and their end users
