Professional Services Engineer - Rugeley

Professional Services Engineer to come on board for a leading client based in Rugeley. My client is currently seeking a professional services engineer to come on board to be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of IT projects for both internal teams and external clients. These projects cover everything from initial consultation and design to implementation and ongoing support, ensuring the successful delivery of technical solutions.

This hands-on role focuses on directly delivering professional services projects. The Professional Services Engineer plays a key role in every stage of project execution, including understanding technical requirements, designing solutions, and implementing and supporting systems. The role involves delivering IT solutions that align with the needs of internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

Key skills and responsibilities,

  • IT Service Engineering experience
  • Cloud experience
  • Extensive experience in delivering IT solutions, including networking, cloud services, and software integration.
  • Proficient in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, as well as networking concepts like VLANs and firewalls.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.
  • Expertise in Azure and AWS architecture, integration, and migration.
  • Skilled in deploying and managing KnowBe4.
  • Experience with WatchGuard Firewall deployment and management, including BOVPN.
  • Proficient in deploying and managing Ubiquiti and Meraki solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of physical and virtual networking, including VLAN, LACP, STP, QoS, ACLs, and VRRP.
  • Experience in managing physical and virtual servers, including HPE, Hyper-V, and VMware.
  • Field support experience
  • Take full ownership of IT projects, managing tasks throughout the entire project lifecycle, including consultation, planning, design, implementation, and support.
  • Lead the hands-on deployment and integration of IT solutions for internal teams and external clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Operations to ensure seamless execution of projects that meet both internal business goals and external client needs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams and external clients, providing regular project status updates and addressing any technical inquiries.
