Balfor is seeking a vibrant and strong Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a new 3-bed EBS childrens home in Rugeley. The ideal candidate will have experience managing services for children aged 8 to 17 years old with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities:
- OFSTED Registration: Ensure the home complies with OFSTED policies and regulations.
- Team Recruitment and Training: Hire and train staff for the home.
- Home Setup: Assist in preparing the home to meet high standards before opening.
- Childcare Delivery: Focus on achieving the best outcomes for each child.
- Leadership: Provide practical leadership in childcare and support for staff.
Requirements:
- Experience: Recent experience as a Children's Home Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare.
- Track Record: Proven success working with children in a residential setting.
- Management: Minimum of 2 years managing a staff team in a residential setting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and safeguarding practices.
- Inspection Rating: Must have received at least a 'Good' OFSTED inspection rating within the last 2 years.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communicator.
- Driving License: Full driving license with access to a vehicle.
- DBS Check: Enhanced DBS required.
