I am currently recruiting for a Management Accountant with relevant experience to join a great team. You must have good experience within Management Accounts. Preference is a fully Qualified Accountant but part qualified/qualified by experience is also considered.Â
Management accounts and balance sheet accounting
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheets for multiple divisions within the Group, including the largest trading entity and the head office group services division.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for the above divisions including analysis to explain significant movements or variances in the month. Ensure reconciliations are kept at an auditable standard each month.
- Monthly analysis of management accounts to budget and forecast so significant variances can be explained to operational leads, budget holders, FD and other senior leaders.
- Work closely with budget holders and other commercial leaders to prepare any analysis as required, such as providing budget holders with cost breakdowns and answering any questions they may have on financial performance.
- Work alongside operational leads, MD’s and other budget holders to prepare quarterly forecasts.
- Assist operational leads, MD’s and other budget holders with preparation of the annual budgets and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and issue revenue and margin analysis at a client, project and job level to help budget holders manage their P&L’s and identify underperforming jobs.
- Line Management
- Dependant on experience – potentially manage a team of 3 accounts assistants. Review their work, ensure all transactional processing is being done accurately, income and costs are recognised in the correct period and assist in their personal development and training needs.
- Year End
- Assist with the year-end audit alongside the FD, including preparation of year-end audit schedules, year-end statutory profit reconciliation, obtaining supporting information related to auditor queries and answering audit questions as they arise.
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors for the divisions within the group that you prepare management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations for.
- Other tasks
- Additional ad-hoc tasks to support the wider finance team and business as required.
