Purpose
- Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines
Essential Duties
- Setting and Operating CNC Milling Machines using Fanuc/Haas controls.
- Producing high complexity components from a range of materials.
- Adhering to Quality/Environmental standards(ISO9001/14001:2015)
- Ensuring performance of part production to planned set and run times and quality requirements.
- Recording and assisting the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned team areas and personal responsibility of machines being operated
- Responsible for ensuring correct materials, drawing are used to produce components.
- Setting up tools, offsets and be able to change the program
Requirements
- 2 Years minimum experience in Setting and Operating CNC Milling Machines
- Experience of working with high complexity components from a range of various materials
- Good knowledge of 4 and 5 Axis Machines.
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and reading Engineering drawings
- Good working knowledge of component dimensions using various inspection equipment - including but not limited to Micrometres, Vernier's and Plug Gauges.
- Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by customer specification.
- Strong level of literacy and record keeping
