Purpose

  • Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines

Essential Duties

  • Setting and Operating CNC Milling Machines using Fanuc/Haas controls.
  • Producing high complexity components from a range of materials.
  • Adhering to Quality/Environmental standards(ISO9001/14001:2015)
  • Ensuring performance of part production to planned set and run times and quality requirements.
  • Recording and assisting the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned team areas and personal responsibility of machines being operated
  • Responsible for ensuring correct materials, drawing are used to produce components.
  • Setting up tools, offsets and be able to change the program

Requirements

  • 2 Years minimum experience in Setting and Operating CNC Milling Machines
  • Experience of working with high complexity components from a range of various materials
  • Good knowledge of 4 and 5 Axis Machines.
  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and reading Engineering drawings
  • Good working knowledge of component dimensions using various inspection equipment - including but not limited to Micrometres, Vernier's and Plug Gauges.
  • Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by customer specification.
  • Strong level of literacy and record keeping
