Join our dedicated team at our small residential care home, registered for dementia and mental health clients. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Care Team Leader or a experienced Senior Care Assistant, to oversee the care delivery and support our small team of carers.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a small team of carers, ensuring high standards of care are provided to all residents with dementia and mental health needs.
  • Oversee the medication cycle, including ordering, receiving, carrying forward, and auditing medication for residents.
  • Develop and maintain individual care plans, ensuring they are written and updated accurately, reflecting residents' needs and preferences.
  • Conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, documenting findings in good written English.
  • Foster a friendly and proactive attitude within the team, promoting a positive environment for residents and staff alike.
  • Ensure compliance with care regulations, policies, and procedures, creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Participate in full annual care training, including SOVA, Health & Safety, and Infection Control.
  • Pursue opportunities for ongoing training and development, including NVQ qualifications.
What We're Looking For:
  • Prior experience working as a Team Leader in a residential care home setting, specifically in managing and leading a team of carers.
  • Proven skills in the medication cycle and understanding of care planning and risk assessments.
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • A friendly, proactive approach, demonstrating compassion and commitment to high-quality care.
  • Flexibility to work fully flexible shifts, including days and nights as required.
