Group Financial Reporting Manager

RUISLIP

Monday to Friday office based.

My client is recruiting for a fully qualified Group Financial & Reporting Manager to produce the Group’s consolidated statutory accounts and assist in the management of the financial audit and to be a key point of contact for external auditors as well as all financial information requests.  

To provide accounting advice to the business and assist in production of periodic Management Accounts including journals, reconciliations, balance sheet control and ad hoc project activities.

If you have worked for a multi-site organisation this would be a plus.

Core Accountabilities

  • Preparation of the Group’s statutory accounts
  • Prepare tax packs for tax reporting 
  • Assist with the production of Management Accounts and Finance Board Pack every period
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary for any deviations to budget/forecast/last year
  • Prepare interim and annual audit files
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, including identification of areas of risk and opportunity
  • Develop and maintain financial controls around accounting systems and policies
  • Maintain schedules to monitor and control capital spend, repairs and maintenance spend, occupancy costs, utilities spend, IT costs and any other major costs
  • Prepare reconciliations and analysis to support monthly business reviews and balance sheet reviews
  • Provide a support service by working with all departments and the Management Team to help make financial decisions
  • Provide ad hoc finance support

Skills and Knowledge Required

Postgraduate with a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA, fully qualified).

Proven experience in preparing consolidated statutory accounts and managing external audits.

Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.

Proficiency in IT, with advanced skills in Excel.

Experience with CCH Accounts Production or similar accounting software.

High self-motivation and drive with the ability to work flexibly under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Previous experience in the multi-site industry is a plus.
