The Role:
As a Computing Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across all key stages, from KS3 to KS5. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality computing lessons that inspire and engage students.
- Teach a broad and balanced computing curriculum, covering areas such as programming, systems, algorithms, and digital citizenship.
- Develop students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Foster a love for technology and encourage students to pursue further studies or careers in computing.
- Support students' academic progress through effective assessment, feedback, and personalized support.
- Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and teaching resources.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and after-school clubs, such as coding clubs or tech workshops.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to promote cross-curricular learning.
About You:
- A qualified teacher with a passion for computing and education.
- Experience teaching computing or computer science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4); KS5 experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of current computing trends, technologies, and curriculum frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
