IT Infrastructure Technical Support 

Location: Ruislip - Hybrid working 3 days a week onsite

Salary: Competitive 

A new exciting permanent opportunity has become available for an IT Infrastructure Technical Support individual to join a global leader in IT & Network technologies. Current user capacity at 700 they are looking for someone to join initially on a 6-month FTC basis with the view to either extend or look to go permanent. 

Key responsibilities/duties of the role 

  • Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Installing and configuring new hardware and software.
  • Analysing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
  • Report and escalate any queries that cannot be completed by yourself to the Senior Infrastructure Team Leader. 
  • Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data centre environments.
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software.
  • Performing backups & restores as required.
  • Answering technical queries and dealing with user's queries. 
  • Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the computing & networking infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting any reported problems.
  • System & network performance tuning and ensure that the infrastructure is up and running.
  • Work with our 3rd party suppliers to aid in problem determination.

Additional Skills

  • Capable of Server administration Windows (GPO, AD)
  • Understanding of Hyper- V Virtualization technologies
  • Strong Understanding of Software and Patch management systems WSUS and SCCM
  • Working understanding of Windows Active Directory Management
  • A good working understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server
  • An understanding and working knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP 
  • Capable of producing detailed, accurate design documentation including procedure documents.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Azure technologies & Office 365 administration
