We’re working with a business based in West London who are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to undertake planned maintenance, respond to machinery breakdowns, and ensure reliability for plant production. This hire will work closely with and oversee one other engineer on the team and ensure tasks allocated to the team are completed efficiently.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced field service engineer who is looking to move away from working on the road and into an in-house role. If you have experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment used in FMCG manufacturing such as printers, food manufacturing machinery, pharmaceutical production, or similar, this could be an ideal opportunity for you.

The Role
o Perform scheduled maintenance on a variety of production machinery.
o Respond to breakdowns and ad-hoc/short notice requests promptly, ensuring minimum downtime.
o Record maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
o Work with site leads and production managers to order replacement parts and spares.
o Schedule maintenance activities and assign tasks to another engineer based on workload.
o Ensure the other engineer receives adequate training for effective support.
o Maintain the engineering office in accordance with 5S and GMP standards.

The Person
• Experience in a similar role with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical circuits.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience
• Any knowledge of the print industry and equipment used in the industry, is a huge advantage
• Can work well under pressure individually and as a team, showing a strong initiative towards problem solving
• Great communication skills both written and verbal
• Full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
