Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the installation and integration of modular Portakabin buildings within a live hospital environment. This long-term project requires effective management of site operations, coordination of subcontractors, and strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Lead and manage daily site activities, ensuring the modular installation progresses on schedule over the 5–6 month duration.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict site safety protocols in line with HSE regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and method statements.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Oversee all trades, including crane operations, groundwork teams, and modular specialists, ensuring efficient workflow and project delivery.
- Quality Control: Ensure all modular units are installed to the highest standards, in line with project specifications and healthcare requirements.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for hospital representatives, contractors, and site personnel, maintaining clear communication throughout the project.
- Site Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, progress updates, and safety reports, ensuring full project transparency.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid SMSTS certification
- Modular / Portakabin Expirence
- Valid CSCS Card
- Up-to-date First Aid Certificate
- Minimum Level 4 HNC in Construction or a related field
- Valid Enhanced & Basic DBS
- Full UK Driving Licence
This is a hands-on role for a proactive leader with extensive experience in modular building projects, particularly in healthcare settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact on hospital operations over the course of 5–6 months.
