- Warehouse and Showroom Operative

Location - Ruislip

Hours - Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm

Holidays - 20 per annum plus Bank Holidays

As a result of retirement an exciting opportunity has arisen within our Ruislip head office. This role combines support in the warehouse and our showroom and is an excellent opportunity to work across different sectors of our business.

Warehouse duties:

Receiving goods in / deliveries from various sources

Ensuring all deliveries are reported to relevant personnel

Responsible for packing and despatching goods as required

Ensuring all areas of the warehouse are kept clean and tidy, with fire exits kept clear of obstructions

Opening and closing/locking the side entrance gate each morning/end of day

Ensuring the forklift is kept charged

Responsible for the security of warehouse

Showroom duties:

To assist the showroom staff as and when needed

Duties to include unpacking of sample boxes

Labelling of products

General light maintenance duties, such as cleaning display areas, putting up shelves and hooks

Preparing walls for display

Skills:

Previous experience working in a warehouse

Forklift licence preferred (but not essential)

Flexible & understanding approach

Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to prioritise and manage own workload

Can demonstrate working as an individual or as part of a team when required

Available to help at trade shows (if needed) Requires overnight stays (once a year)

Computer literate, MS Office/Excel intermediate
