Description

We are looking for an experienced Welder Foreman to oversee and coordinate the activities of our welding team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, as well as strong leadership and organisational skills. The Welder Foreman will be responsible for ensuring that all welding projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of various welding techniques, materials, and safety protocols. The Welder Foreman will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior welders, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to work effectively under pressure. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Welder Foreman will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and will be a key player in driving the success of our welding operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the welding team.
  • Ensure all welding projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all welding work.
  • Train and mentor junior welders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for welding personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Order and maintain inventory of welding materials and supplies.
  • Assist in the development of project plans and schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the welding team.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of welding experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
