Working closely with a Client I am looking to appoint an FC for their site based in Runcorn on a part time basis. This will need to be c25 hours per week

This is a newly incorporated role where the successful Candidate will create structure within the Finance function as well as business partner with the Plant Director

The ideal Candidate must be Qualified or QBE and have previous manufacturing experience or Cost accounting experience - this is essential. The purpose of the role is to produce the financial reporting, including but not limited to P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement with a particular focus on quality, accuracy, timeliness and compliance. To identify areas of focus to improve the business' financial performance.


Duties of the FC will include:

To provide high quality management information and KPI's to measure underlying business performance

To support operational management on improvements to business performance

To ensure the accuracy of internal reporting

To ensure that monthly and annual management accounts are reported to the agreed time scales

To provide weekly cash analysis and oversee the management of cash within the plant

To ensure that third party information requirements are met as required (including, but not limited to HMRC, banks, auditors, customers and suppliers)

To ensure the timely provision of information for statutory accounts and corporation tax preparation

To ensure stock accounting is conducted effectively

To be a prime co-ordinator in the preparation of site budgets, forecasts and capital investment appraisals

To assess and challenge the company's internal financial processes in order to make and implement recommendations for improvements

To develop the local plant finance team

To assist in the development of the company's financial IT and information systems.

To participate in the process of identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in profits and cash-flow

To become involved in projects in other areas of the business



To be considered for this role you will need to be a strong communicator and a team player. Working to deadlines and prioritising work is an absolute must and being able to work closely with internal and external Stakeholders
