Financial Controller - Runcorn

Job Duties:

  • Manage Financial Operations - Oversee daily financial operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and payroll.
  • Financial Reporting - Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to the management team.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting - Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial plans to support strategic decision-making.
  • Cash Flow Management - Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the business has sufficient liquidity for its operations and growth.
  • Team Supervision - Lead and mentor a small finance team, including assigning tasks, reviewing performance, and providing support.
  • Compliance and Controls - Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity.
  • Financial Analysis - Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on profitability, cost management, and financial performance.
  • Process Improvement - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
  • Audit Coordination - Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided.
  • Support MD - Collaborate closely with the Managing Director (MD) to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication - Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including investors, banks, and other external parties.
  • Tax Management - Oversee tax compliance and planning, including preparation and submission of tax returns.

Ideal experience

  • ACA or ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant
