Are you an experienced finance professional with excellent administrative skills? Are you passionate about supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs (SEN)? We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Administrator to join our team at our vibrant and caring SEN school in Runcorn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain financial records and systems in accordance with school policies.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expenses in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitor spending to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide support with audit preparations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external partners to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate student records in relation to funding and financial support.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team and senior leadership.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a finance or administrative role (preferably within a school or educational setting).
  • Strong knowledge of finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • An understanding of or interest in special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.
