Our client, well-established company based in Runcorn is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.

The role is full time office based in Runcorn and the salary is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum.

Main Role: Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders. Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger.

Responsible to: Purchasing Manager

Main Duties of the Role:

· Ordering of raw materials and liaising with suppliers regarding orders.

· Filing invoices and statements, keeping records of all products and services

· Receipt of delivery notes from Goods In

· Reconcile invoices with delivery notes and assist with queries

· Check prices of product and amend where necessary

· Assist in raw material stock management

· Answering telephone

· Supplier statements - check information with invoices.

· Administer Indirect Purchase Orders for all departments through PO Manager

· Execute operations as per SAGE compliance

Desirable Criteria

  • Bookkeeping experience.
  • IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and SAGE.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • High level of capability in mathematics
  • Interpersonal, communication and collaboration
  • Commitment, organisation and discipline
  • Maintaining strong business relationships with suppliers
  • Reviewing procedures and systems to identify improvement opportunities
