Our client is seeking a Sales Executive to join their internal sales team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in their technical team, engaging with chemists, procurement, and finance departments of research institutions and chemical-using companies globally. You will be instrumental in supporting customers to fulfil their chemical requirements for R&D or Process Development projects, providing exceptional customer service and technical support, and building long-term business relationships.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Handle technical enquiries via telephone and email.
- Manage and grow an existing customer base while expanding the customer portfolio.
- Present technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Work as part of a busy technical sales team.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers daily to drive business forward.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery schedules for their requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in a chemistry related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales role, ideally within a scientific industry.
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Competence with Microsoft Office software packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Willingness and ability to travel across the UK and mainland Europe.
