Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an Ofsted rated "Good" single form entry primary school in Runcorn as they are looking to recruit 2 motivated and reliable EYFS teaching assistants for long-term contracts. These are long-term roles that are attached to SEN.Your new roleIn your new role as an early years teaching assistant within this school, you will be working under the instruction of the reception class teacher. You will support your new pupils on a 1:1 and group basis, ensuring they reach their full academic potential by offering learn through play sessions, phonics, and observations, which will encourage their social and emotional, speech and language, and fine motor skills development. You will offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment by taking a pupil-centred approach to education, tailoring your approach to best suit your pupils' individual needs and by utilising all learning resources. A number of pupils within this class do have SEN and individual EHCP's, you will closely monitor these pupils, offering 1:1 in key areas as required, and liaise with the class teacher and SENCO on their progress.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:

  • Previous experience with/expert knowledge of EYFS curriculum
  • Experience supporting SEN
  • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous but not essential
