Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Runcorn-based primary and nursery school as they are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to support the EYFS classes. This is a long-term full-time contract.Your new roleAs an EYFS teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting pupils within the nursery and reception classes. You will offer social, emotional and academic support by delivering tailored sessions dependent on each pupil's attainment needs. You will ensure that all learning takes place in a stimulating, engaging and inclusive learning environment by taking a pupil-centred approach to education. You will complete observations and liaise with the SENCO on which pupils may be showing signs of SEN and require pathway processes and deliver academic sessions including basic numeracy, literacy and phonics sessions and assessments.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be considered in your application you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as recent referenceable supporting children between the ages of 0 - 5, as well as:

  • Expert knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Experience delivering phonics/speech and language assessments
  • An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is advantageous
