Project Engineer - Inside IR35 - Circa £540 per day 

Project Engineer with previous experience in packaging environments and delivering process control system projects is required by Logic Engagements to work for our global consumer goods client on a long term contract assignment (12 months initial with potential for future extensions)

Please note our client are happy to consider applications from people who would like to be based out any of the following sites for this position: Glasgow, Leven, Runcorn or Central London.

The role is positioned in the Global Engineering, Digital & Automation team which provides Capital Project delivery support across manufacturing sites including distillation, brewing, spirits and beer packaging and maturation warehousing.

This role will support Digital Supply Chain initiative driving specific workstreams for Operational technology infrastructure improvements.

This will involve:

  • Development of requirement specifications in collaboration with other internal teams such as Operations.
  • Use of specialist knowledge to deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.
  • Development of cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Managing efficient spend for capex projects.
  • Co-ordinating and managing external resources.
  • Management of the project lifecycle including capital approval, maintaining accurate financial data including spend and forecast and project closure.
  • Manage and overseeing commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Exceptional Stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively and proactively with cross functional teams and internal customers regarding plans, products, issues, timelines and solution value.

In order to be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Project Engineer / Project Manager on Engineering projects around process control systems - Essential 
  • Strong background working as a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer - essential 
  • Experience with IT/ Operational Technology integration - essential 
  • Proficiency reviewing solution designs using logical and physical diagrams.
  • Appreciation of Cyber Security
