As Finance Manager YOU will be responsible for all UK accounting for monthly and year-end financial statements, tax and business partnering activities on costs, sales, capex, cash, forecasts, budgets and internal controls.YOUR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are:
- US Reporting - monthly, yearend,
- Statutory accounts, Corporation Tax, VAT, Payroll, Audit
- Cash, Working Capital and Treasury Management (including weekly forecasts, FX) and Tax Planning / Compliance
- Management accounting, information, analysis, variances, trends, business drivers, reporting (link into market, product).
- Financial Planning & Analysis - Sales, GM and SG&A - Forecast and Budgets, Bridges etc.
- Support, financial advice and sounding board to Site Director to enable more informed decision-making capability
- Business Partner to Sales, Operations, Logistics, R&D, IT and HR etc.
- KPI's / Balanced Scorecard - operational and financial at appropriate frequency
- Profit improvement - revenue increase, cost efficiency / reduction
- Profitability analysis - product, customer, ex R&D, operational efficiencies
- Product Costing system
- Modelling, Investment appraisals / DCF / spend control (including capex)
- Relationships with external and internal stakeholders (including Bank and Pensions)
- Risk Management - business risk, insurance, internal controls, fraud
- Processes, practices and controls - efficient and effective to meet business needs
- Systems - financial and business (ERP), including upgrade / implementation
