Hours: 37hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Salary: £100 - £120 per day

Successful candidates for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant must have a minimum of Math and English GCSE grade 5 or equivalent, and ideally hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Learning Assistant) or HLTA teaching assistant qualification.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience working with learners who have SEMH needs.
  • Capable of covering lessons with the flexibility and willingness to adapt teaching approaches when necessary.
  • Able to provide ongoing support to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Can employ strategies to recognise and celebrate learners achievements.
  • Utilise detailed knowledge to assess learners needs and support their learning process.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of personalized learning plans for learners.
  • Provide regular feedback to learners on their progress and achievements, promoting growth and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate learner responses to activities, ensuring appropriate interventions where needed.
  • Deliver specialist support to meet individual learner needs effectively.
  • Establish and share best practices to support both learners and staff in their educational journey.
