Hours:37hours per week, Monday to Friday (term time only) 43.7 weeks a year
Salary: £25,584 - £27,269 pro rata

Our partnering school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Senior Science Technician who has the necessary knowledge, initiative, organisational skills and attention to detail to be able to support their science department in the teaching of their young people.

The role
  • Preparing chemicals, materials, apparatus and equipment for use in lesson
  • Supporting pupils and teachers in practical lessons
  • Maintenance of the school science labs and equipment.
  • You will work in conjunction with teaching staff to develop new projects and to provide advice and guidance where needed.
  • You will have a deep interest in all aspects of science.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience working with learners in a science dept
  • A passion for all things science
  • Capable of supporting students needing extra support
  • Able to provide ongoing support to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Can employ strategies to recognise and celebrate learners achievements.
  • Utilise detailed knowledge to assess learners needs and support their learning process.
