Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Ellesmere Port

Simply Education is excited to partner with a local specialist school in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire that shares our passion for nurturing the potential of every student. We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join this fantastic school, supporting students aged 8-16 on a 1:1 and small-group basis. Your role will include delivering targeted interventions to support the teaching staff and help students flourish both academically and personally. Our students have a variety of different needs including Autism, ADHD and social and emotional needs. The school prides itself on creating a learning environment that is considerate of both pastoral and academic needs ensuring our students leave with all the tools they need to be successful. About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in:

  • Supporting students with their academic studies and filling gaps in their learning.
  • Providing social, emotional, and practical support to help students develop key life skills.
  • Working with students who have EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans), ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons that align with each student's unique learning plan.
  • Assisting students in building confidence, independence, and skills for life beyond school, including areas like cooking, financial literacy, and social interaction.
