Operations Manager – Recycling
Up to £38,000 (DOE) plus benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Manager to manage & support the safe operations of a wood recycling plant. Our client is a leading organisation within the Waste Management sector, with the opportunity for an experience manager to join their team based in Runcorn.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Day to day running of the site including health & safety, customer relations and P&L objectives
- Managing and supporting the team in the safe operation of the recycling operations
- Controlling and managing of waste inputs
- Ensuring the facility is operating within its permits
- Stakeholder management including the local community, EA, and senior management team
- Administrative duties
- Other duties as required
To be considered, you should have:
- Experience managing people and managing change
- Previous experience of wood treatment plant and equipment ideally, or experience within the recycling sector
- A good understanding of plant and vehicles used across a recycling site
- COTC for Non-Hazardous Treatment
- Good health & safety knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience dealing with the EA and quality management systems is desirable
- Driving licence and rights to work in the UK are essential
