MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Manager to manage & support the safe operations of a wood recycling plant. Our client is a leading organisation within the Waste Management sector, with the opportunity for an experience manager to join their team based in Runcorn.

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day running of the site including health & safety, customer relations and P&L objectives
  • Managing and supporting the team in the safe operation of the recycling operations
  • Controlling and managing of waste inputs
  • Ensuring the facility is operating within its permits
  • Stakeholder management including the local community, EA, and senior management team
  • Administrative duties
  • Other duties as required

To be considered, you should have:

  • Experience managing people and managing change
  • Previous experience of wood treatment plant and equipment ideally, or experience within the recycling sector
  • A good understanding of plant and vehicles used across a recycling site
  • COTC for Non-Hazardous Treatment
  • Good health & safety knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience dealing with the EA and quality management systems is desirable
  • Driving licence and rights to work in the UK are essential
