Your new roleThe Transport Manager will be responsible for leading various teams within the company's busy transport operation, including Transport Team Leaders, Administrators, Drivers and Shunters, to ensure maximum productivity levels and ensure that targets & deadlines are met. As the Transport Ops Manager, you will be responsible for meeting the site's budgetary and financial goals, whilst also identifying any areas for continuous improvement with regards to site transport and logistics operations. You will be responsible for legislative compliance with regards to driver health and safety related issues, tachograph management and equipment management. Working in a target driven setting, you will ensure that KPIs are met and exceeded.

What you'll need to succeed*Proven experience as a Transport Manager / Supervisor, working in a fast-paced transport operation, ideally within a unionised environment

*Ideally you will hold a National / International Freight CPC*A strong communicator who is confident dealing with customers*Good organisational skills and able to deliver quality results in a timely manner*A high degree of flexibility and be able to work as part of a team*Previous experience of leading a transport team with ability to develop individuals, ensuring that they are motivated to achieve their performance outputs and KPIsWhat you'll get in return
