My client is a solutions provider in the Industrial Automation sector, catering to industries such as Oil & Gas, chemicals, natural gas, power generation, iron and steel, as well as pulp and paper.

A bit about the role:

As a QHSE Advisor, you will serve as the UK business partner for Quality, Health and Safety, Information Security, and Environmental related topics within the business.

To create, develop, and continuously improve key business processes and ensure their successful implementation across the organisation.

You will ensure compliance with company QHSE standards, industry regulations, and governmental requirements while maintaining the QHSE management system.

You will work closely with various departments to drive QHSE initiatives and improvements, while providing support to ensure ongoing compliance with corporate rules, industry standards, and legal regulations.

Regular travel will be required to customer sites and other offices across the UK, with occasional travel to the regional HQ in the Netherlands (travel expenses covered).

Develop and maintain proactive QHSE relationships with customers and suppliers.

Build consensus among stakeholders for QHSE process improvements at European and global levels.

Report on business process performance, escalate QHSE issues, and manage incidents.

Identify and analyse opportunities for process improvements.

Collaborate with managers and colleagues to ensure QHSE compliance and resolve issues.

Coordinate competency assessments, training, and record-keeping for large-scale projects.

Design, implement, and improve QHSE standards, processes, and procedures using change management skills.

Advise all levels of the organization on QHSE matters.

Review Survey Plans and ensure SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) considerations are addressed.

Prepare site induction safety packs and manage incident reporting.

Contribute to project planning, including reviewing and adding relevant SHE sections and updating Project Risk Registers with a QHSE perspective.

Whats required:

Experience in QHSE, within a technical organisation in the utility, construction or instrumentation automation sectors.

Proven experience in leading a QHSE team and audits to verify compliance.

Experience in applying or working with CDM Regulations 2015.

Bachelor's degree with over 10 years of relevant work experience in a technical or process environment, OR academic qualification with more than 5 years of relevant experience.

Masters level knowledge of QHSE disciplines.

NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualification.

Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.

Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to build trust and achieve consensus.

Auditing and compliance management expertise.

Highly driven, energetic, proactive, and process-oriented.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001 qualifications is advantageous.
