Description
- Develop innovative and efficient designs for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with the Engineering & Manufacturing team to ensure design feasibility and optimisation.
- Produce detailed schematics and specifications for manufacturing processes.
- Oversee testing and validation processes for newly designed products.
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on design progress and challenges.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.
Profile
A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in industrial / manufacturing design.
- Experience of hydraulic, pneumatic and actuated systems.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software.
- An innovative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A strong understanding of industry safety and quality standards.
Job Offer
- A competitive salary of around £40,000 - £55,500 GBP.
- Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm (flexi) / Friday's - 9am-3pm (flexi)
- A generous annual bonus of up to £3,000.
