Acorn by Synergie are currently seeking a Production Operative with FLT and Front End Loader licences on behalf of their mineral-processing client, based in Runcorn. This role is at first temporary-ongoing, but may lead to a permanent position upon successful completion of a probation period. The role is very physical and involves some working outside.

Our client requires someone who is a relationship builder with excellent communication skills, strong problem solving capabilities, ability to work at height, computer literate and a positive, can-do attitude. Previous production experience is required, ideally in a mineral processing environment, although full training is given on-site.

An RTITB or ITSSAR accredited FLT Counterbalance licence refreshed within the last three years is essential for the role as is FEL, Front End Loader certification

The role is to facilitate the incoming raw material and operation of a milling processing plant.

The role will also require the operative to load or assist in the loading of collection vehicles as and when required. This will include assisting both operation of the loading equipment and administrative duties.

Duties will include:* Manual Handling up to 25 kilo * Machine Operating * Working as part of a team to ensure the product is dispatched on time * Liaising with drivers coming into site

* Induction of new drivers and supervision of all drivers in following safe operation of the facilities and equipment.

* Quality Inspection of finished product

* Occasionally assisting the engineering team in undertaking maintenance and repairs as far as individual competency requires in line with all company systems and risk assessments.

* Inspections and preventative maintenance of silos which require regular climbing of stairs and working at height within fixed platforms and walkways.

* Undertaking daily, weekly and monthly ispections, housekeeping duties and preventative maintenance, to record and report inspections and any corrective actions taken

* Other production duties as directed
