Pharmacy Dispenser
Salary: £29,528 (inclusive of shift allowance and annual bonus)
Location: Runcorn
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Role 1: Shifts alternating weekly between 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm
- Role 2: Flexible 7.5 hours between 8am-7pm
About the Role:
Total Staff are recruiting on behalf of a client who is expanding their Dispensing team within their Pharmacy Department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and play a vital role in ensuring patients receive high-quality service and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process prescriptions to meet patient needs and maintain high standards of care.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Patient Services, Production, and Warehouse, to ensure seamless delivery of prescriptions.
- Communicate with external stakeholders such as hospitals, GP surgeries, and dieticians to coordinate prescriptions and maintain continuity of patient treatment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to queries via email and telephone.
- Support the pharmacy team by assisting with daily operations and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
- Work closely with other Dispensers, Technicians, and Pharmacists to ensure efficient resource use across the Pharmacy department.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Pharmacy Services Team Leader to support departmental goals.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office; SAP experience advantageous).
- GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (training can be provided).
- Previous dispensing experience.
