Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a Runcorn-based single form entry primary school as they are looking to recruit a competent and motivated teaching assistant to support KS1 pupils with a resource base. This is a long-term full-time contract starting in January.Your new roleAs a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting pupils with SEN within the KS1 resource base. You will work alongside the class teacher to promote a stimulating and engaging learning environment for all pupils by effectively utilising learning material, building strong constructive relationships and promoting inclusivity within the class. You will offer 1:1 and group support to all pupils by holding interventions and boosters in core subjects, integrating into new pupil groups and offering additional provision to meet individual EHCP's. As you will be supporting pupils with SEN you will need to take a pupil-centred approach to learning as to ensure that each pupil's individual needs (both physical and social) are met. Other duties may include assisted personal care, basic speech and language/phonics, and liaison with parents/guardians and SENCo.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as recent referenceable experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, as well as:

  • Experience supporting ASD, LD, GLD and/or other complex needs
  • Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract
