Your new companyDue to unprecedented demand, Hays are looking to recruit a number of motivated and reliable teaching assistants to join our temporary team and support schools across Runcorn on a supply basis. If you are looking for added flexibility and the ability to choose your own availability, this will be ideal for you.Your new roleAs a member of our supply teaching assistant team, you will have the opportunity to pick and choose your own availability, either working on an adhoc, supply or long-term basis. You will have the opportunity to work in a number of our partnership schools and support pupils/classes of your preferred year group or key stage. Typically, you will support learning outcomes by working alongside class teachers to deliver a safe, inclusive, engaging and stimulating learning environment, with other duties varying depending on the year group you are working with but typically consisting of interventions and boosters, phonics, behaviour management, and classroom management.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience supporting pupils between the ages of 4 - 16 within the last 2 years, as well as:

  • Experience working within a classroom environment
  • Experience delivering interventions and boosters
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential
  • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is advantageous but not essential
