Acorn by Synergie are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their client, a chemical manufacturer and supplier based in Runcorn, on a temporary basis
The purpose of the role is to provide support to a busy purchasing department as the company have just had a new ERP system installed and there is a backlog of work relating to this.
Key duties will include:
- Assume responsibility for the packaging purchasing company wide across the UK
- As the role allows there will be other Indirect Procurement activities that will need to be undertaken.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites to align site packaging requirements with lead times and JIT deliveries from supplier
- Responsibility for inputting and processing orders through the system
- Liaise with suppliers and ensure all necessary supplier paperwork is obtained.
- Manage internal communication with all colleagues and the company's business sites regarding delivery of goods to site.
- Ensure all queries are resolved.
It is essential that the successful candidate has previous experience within a purchasing role, ideally packaging purchasing within a manufacturing environment, good communication and IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Dynamics D365 F & O
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
The rate of pay will start at £16.48 per hour which equates to an annual salary of £30,000
Hybrid working is offered after initial training has been completed
The position is expected to continue for between 3 and 6 months
